The life update I keep putting off.

I got busy living so this update comes at a later time than originally anticipated. A lot of change in the past year, and as you know (if you’ve been following the social media rollercoaster of stories) it’s been all over the place.

I am back in Girona as I write this, and I am ecstatic to finally be in one place now for longer than two weeks; actually, who am I kidding, I fly to Berlin in 6 days. BUT, I will be back and then it’s back to reality and hours in the saddle. This bike racing season is something I very much look forward to as I had to sit last year out, and I am awaiting the day when I get to race my brand new custom painted baby, Dracarys. The start of my race season will be slightly delayed as I am going to build a bit back up until May, when I will return to the Netherlands and start racing with our team.

It’s been a busy winter filled with speed skating, racing, travelling and coaching, and mainly getting back into a prior state of health. Speed skating still remains, to this day, my favourite kind of training for the bike racing season. Nothing gives you legs and power quite like skating does; except I now have to ride longer so I can get lean and train my aerobic system a bit more than I did in the Sprint Life the past months.

After travelling to Calgary for the Speed Skating World Cup a couple of weeks ago, my heart just feels full - it was a solid way to end a winter of training and taking part in watching Laura (my best friend) achieve some personal best times while representing Finland at her first ever senior World Cup. I now look forward to reuniting with my girls here in Spain during their off season, so we can get back up to our usual shenanigans.

I keep thinking of what else to write about and I feel like I need something “negative” to write about and tell you about how I’ve overcome it, like in past blogs, but the reality is that it’s going well - of course there are some challenges like purchasing my first ever home and having to figure how to do things in another language, but everything that is meant to be, has happened…as cheesy as that sounds. I am really excited about growing my cycling apparel business, Ninety One Collective, and branching out into a couple of new winter sports that I will announce later in the spring. I am partnering up with some cool people and it is just in time for the Milan 2026 Olympics which will be epic. We are also at the point where we can sponsor some athletes, so that is HUGE. I say ‘we’ as in, me myself and I. Could use some help BUT one-man band-ing it is actually going well so far.

I am coughing my lungs out now since i’ve got here which kills me as I’d rather be on my bike riding in the beautiful G town weather but instead I am overly caffeinating and cleaning my house and organizing. Once I get into my new routine, I am also looking forward to spending less time off my phone and more time on OnlyFans taking a different approach to connecting with my fans on the platform. If you’re signed up, you will see what I mean :)

Aside from all of this, I don’t really know what else to tell you except that I’m happy. I look forward to Berlin next week and spending some quality time <3

That it; that’s all folks.
